Parking & Shuttles
Race day: Sunday, November 8, 2026. All races finish at Silver Strand State Beach.
Choose your parking plan before packet pickup. Please carpool whenever possible; parking is limited.
IMPORTANT: Beach Parking Lot Closes at 6:45 a.m.
The Silver Strand State Beach parking lot CLOSES TO ALL TRAFFIC (even if you have a 5K parking pass, late is too late) at 6:45 a.m. so the race course can be set up. You will NOT be able to enter the parking lot for the 5K after 6:45 a.m.
Plan to arrive early and allow extra time for traffic backups. Traffic entering the park will be very slow. Do not rely on your mapping app's arrival estimate; allow extra time to get into the lot and reach the start.
Again: the lot closes to ALL traffic at 6:45 a.m. After that, find parking only where it is expressly legal to park, and allow time to walk to the start.
Half Marathon, 10 Miler & 12K
Start: Sunset Park, Coronado. Finish: Silver Strand State Beach.

Do not park at Silver Strand State Beach for these distances. There is NO shuttle from the beach to the start before the race.
5K: Park at Your Start and Finish
Pick up your bib and FREE parking pass on Friday or Saturday. See the Schedule for packet pickup details. Race-morning bib pickup carries a $10 late pickup fee.
Park at Silver Strand State Beach, 5000 CA-75, Coronado. Spaces are first come, first served. A parking pass does not guarantee an available space.
The beach parking lot closes to ALL traffic (even if you have a 5K parking pass, late is too late) at 6:45 a.m. for race-course setup. There is NO entry for the 5K after that time. After the closure, park only where it is expressly legal to park. If you park on the east (bay) side of Highway 75, use a pedestrian tunnel under the highway to reach the beach.
5K participants do not need a shuttle ticket. Your start and finish are both at Silver Strand State Beach.
Driving Directions
Sunset Park: Half Marathon, 10 Miler & 12K start. From I-5, take Highway 75 over the Coronado Bridge. Turn left onto Orange Avenue, right onto 10th Street, then left onto G Avenue. Continue to Ocean Boulevard; the start is four blocks to the right. These directions are for athlete drop-off or access to surrounding neighborhood parking. There is no parking lot at Sunset Park. There is no parking along Ocean Boulevard. Park legally in the surrounding neighborhood and walk to the start.
Silver Strand State Beach: 5K start and finish. From I-5 South, take Exit 5A for CA-75/Palm Avenue. Follow CA-75 North and signs for the Silver Strand State Beach entrance.

Before Race Day: Collect Your Bus Ticket
Select your FREE parking/shuttle option online when you register. Choose Tidelands Park, City Hall, or Sunset Park. If you select Tidelands Park or City Hall, choose an available shuttle time. Spaces and time slots are limited.
Already registered? Find your parking choice in RunSignup. Sign in to RunSignup using the account you used to register. Go to Profile. Under Upcoming Events, find the 2026 Silver Strand race and select Manage Registration.
Review or change your selection. Open Questions and find Half Marathon/10 Mile/12K Parking to see your current choice. To make a change, select another available parking location and click Continue. Look for the confirmation that your answers have been updated.
Changes are subject to availability.
You MUST visit the parking booth at packet pickup to collect your bus ticket. This applies even if you already selected your option online.
Bring your bus ticket on race day. If you are taking a morning shuttle, arrive in time for the departure printed on your ticket.
Morning shuttles run from 5:15 a.m. through 6:45 a.m. They take participants from Tidelands Park and City Hall to the start at Sunset Park.
Location 1: Tidelands Park
Shuttle pickup: 2000 Mullinex Drive, Coronado, CA 92118.

Use parking on Mullinex Drive and nearby streets where permitted, then walk to the Tidelands Park shuttle pickup.
Location 2: City Hall
Shuttle pickup: Glorietta Bay Park Promenade, 1835 Strand Way, Coronado, CA 92118.

Use permitted parking near City Hall, the Community Center, Glorietta Bay, Strand Way, northbound Silver Strand Boulevard, Avenida Lunar, or Avenida Del Sol. Walk to the shuttle pickup at Glorietta Bay Park Promenade.
Location 3: Sunset Park
Sunset Park: 101 Ocean Boulevard, Coronado, CA 92118.

Park in the surrounding neighborhood and walk to the start. There is no parking lot at Sunset Park. There is no parking along Ocean Boulevard. You do not need a morning shuttle from this location.
Select Sunset Park as your parking option and collect your bus ticket at the parking booth for your return trip after the race.
Spectators: Getting to the Finish
Parking at the beach finish is very limited, and there is no room at Silver Strand State Beach for spectator cars.
5K Spectators
If you are coming to cheer on a 5K participant, please carpool with them.
Half Marathon, 12K & 10 Miler Spectators
Park legally in the neighborhood around Sunset Park. Use 101 Ocean Boulevard, Coronado, CA 92118 to find the park. Open Sunset Park in Google Maps. There is no parking lot at Sunset Park and no parking along Ocean Boulevard.
Take the FREE spectator shuttle to Silver Strand State Beach. Watch the race start at Sunset Park, then go to the buses promptly. Shuttles begin running immediately after the 7:20 a.m. race start; the last spectator shuttle leaves Sunset Park at 8:30 a.m.
We will bring you back after the race. FREE return shuttles to Sunset Park begin at 9:30 a.m. from the pickup just outside Loews Hotel, on the bay side of Highway 75. From the finish line and expo, take the short walk through the pedestrian tunnel under Highway 75 and follow the walking route on the map below to the pickup. Race athletes also use this tunnel. Spectators and runners returning to the buses must stay on the NORTH side, watch for racers, and use caution. Board any return bus and get off at Sunset Park.
Spectators may also use permitted street parking near Coronado Cays Boulevard on the east (bay) side of Highway 75 and walk through a pedestrian tunnel to the finish.
After the Race: Return to Your Parking Location
Return shuttles begin at 9:30 a.m.
Participants and spectators use the same return pickup just outside Loews Hotel, on the bay side of Highway 75. Take the short walk through the tunnel under Highway 75 and follow the yellow route on the map below:
From the finish line and expo at Silver Strand State Beach Lot 2, walk to the pedestrian tunnel.
Walk through the tunnel UNDER Highway 75. Race athletes also use this tunnel. Spectators and runners returning to the buses must stay on the NORTH side, watch for racers, and use caution.
On the bay side, follow the path shown in yellow around the buildings to the shuttle pickup marked with a star, just outside Loews Hotel.
Board any return bus. Every bus makes all three stops in this order: City Hall, Sunset Park, then Tidelands Park. Get off at your parking location.
